Think Crew’s schedule settings allow you to configure and customize how your production schedule operates, displays information, and calculates important production data. Proper configuration ensures your schedule meets the specific needs of your production.
Accessing Schedule Settings
To access the schedule settings:
- Open your project and navigate to the schedule you want to configure
- Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the schedule view
- The settings panel will open, displaying multiple configuration tabs
General Settings
The general tab includes fundamental schedule configurations:
- Schedule Name: Edit the title of your schedule
- Production Type: Film, television, commercial, etc.
- Start Date: First day of production
- Shoot Days Format: How shooting days are labeled (Day 1, 2, 3 or Date format)
- Working Hours: Standard day length for calculating overtime
- Non-Working Days: Define weekends and holidays
Display Settings
Customize how your schedule appears to you and your team:
- Default View: Set the initial view when opening the schedule
- Strip Format: Configure the appearance of schedule strips
- Color Scheme: Choose from preset themes or create custom colors
- Information Columns: Select which data fields appear by default
- Time Display: 12-hour or 24-hour format
Calculation Settings
Control how Think Crew calculates schedule-related data:
- Shooting Ratio: Pages per day for runtime estimation
- Turnaround Time: Required rest period between shooting days
- Travel Time Calculation: How location travel affects scheduling
- Unit Types: Configure multiple units (Main Unit, Second Unit, etc.)
- Auto-scheduling Rules: Parameters for the auto-scheduling assistant
Notifications and Sharing
Configure communication preferences for your schedule:
- Change Notifications: Who receives alerts when the schedule changes
- Publishing Settings: Control when updates are visible to the team
- Approval Workflow: Enable or disable schedule approval process
- External Sharing: Configure options for sharing with non-Think Crew users
