There may be situations where you need to remove scripts from your Think Crew project. Whether you’ve uploaded the wrong script, have outdated versions, or simply need to clean up your workspace, the script deletion process helps you maintain an organized production environment.
Who Can Delete Scripts
Script deletion permissions follow these rules:
- Project Creators can delete any script in their project
- Users with Edit permissions for a script can delete that specific script
- Users with View-only permissions cannot delete scripts
Deleting a Single Script
To delete an individual script:
- Navigate to the Scripts page in your project
- Find the script you wish to delete
- Click the settings (gear) icon or “Manage” option for that script
- Scroll to the bottom of the Script Management panel
- Click “Delete Script” in the deletion section
- Confirm your decision in the warning dialog
Deleting Multiple Scripts
To delete several scripts at once:
- On the Scripts page, click the “Select” button in the top menu
- Check the boxes next to each script you want to delete
- Click the “Delete” button that appears in the action bar
- Review the list of scripts to be deleted
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Important Considerations
Before deleting scripts, please be aware:
- Permanent Action: Script deletion cannot be undone – all script content and associated breakdowns will be permanently removed
- Schedule Impact: If the script is used in any schedules, those connections will be broken and require manual updates
- Team Notifications: Team members with access to the script will no longer see it in their workspace, but they won’t receive automatic notifications about its deletion
For temporary solutions, consider moving scripts to a separate “Archive” project instead of deleting them, especially if there’s any chance you might need to reference them in the future.
