Populating your breakdowns with accurate data is crucial for effective production planning. This guide explains how to add and manage various types of data in your Think Crew breakdowns.
Basic Breakdown Fields
Once you’ve created a breakdown, you can add essential information to the following fields:
- Scene Number: Enter the scene number from your script
- Description: Add a brief description of the scene content
- Pages: Enter the page count (in eighths) for accurate timing
- Duration: Estimate how long the scene will take to shoot
- Script Page: Note which page(s) in the script contain this scene
- Comments: Add any additional notes for the production team

Special Element Fields
Think Crew provides dedicated fields for commonly used elements:
- I/E (Interior/Exterior): Select from your Interior/Exterior elements
- D/N (Day/Night): Choose the time of day from your Day/Night elements
- Set: Select the primary set or location
- Script Day: Assign a story day element
- Unit: Specify which production unit will shoot this scene
- Location: Assign a specific location element
- Sequence: Group scenes into larger narrative sequences
Batch Editing Multiple Breakdowns
To add data to multiple breakdowns at once:
- Select multiple breakdowns using Shift-click or Ctrl/Cmd-click
- Edit any field in the breakdown panel
- Your changes will apply to all selected breakdowns
