Drag and Drop Scheduling

Think Crew’s drag and drop scheduling feature offers an intuitive way to create and modify your production schedule. This visual approach to scheduling allows you to efficiently plan your production timeline with minimal effort.

Basic Drag and Drop Operations

You can drag any strips by simply grabbing them with your mouse and dragging them anywhere in the existing board or to another board including the recycle bin. You don’t necessarily need to click on the strip first to select it, but of course you can do that if you want.

Advanced Drag and Drop Techniques

Take advantage of these advanced drag and drop features:

  • Multi-select Dragging: Select multiple elements (using Shift or Ctrl/Cmd) and drag them together to move multiple items at once
  • Proper Drop Zones: You can only drop strips on a pane that will accept them. If you drop strips anywhere that isn’t a board, the strips will simply glide back to their origin.

Drag and Drop on Mobile (phone, tablet)

Because mobile devices don’t natively have shift or ctrl/cmd keys, there are additional techniques that allow you to perform advanced drag and drop techniques when on a mobile device.

If you want to multi-select strips, select the first strip by tapping on it with one finger. To select additional strips, use more than one finger to tap on more strips. The first strip will remain selected as your additional strip is added to the selection. Continue selecting until you have all of the strips selected.

Then simply drag the selected strips with one finger to their destination.

Drag and drop scheduling is one of Think Crew’s most powerful features, allowing you to visually organize your production schedule with speed and precision. With practice, you’ll find it becomes an effortless way to create and manage even the most complex production schedules.
