Managing Panes (Tab Pane System)

Think Crew’s tab pane system offers a flexible way to organize your schedule workspace, allowing you to customize your view and work with multiple aspects of your schedule simultaneously.

Understanding Panes

Panes are separate viewing areas within your schedule that can display different components such as boards, breakdowns, day out of days, or categories. Each pane operates independently, giving you the ability to:

  • View multiple boards side by side
  • Compare different schedule scenarios
  • Work on breakdowns while monitoring your calendar
  • Maintain visibility of key scheduling elements

Creating New Panes

To add a new pane to your workspace:

  1. Click the “+” icon in the tab bar
  2. Select the type of content you want to display
  3. The new pane will appear as a tab in your workspace

Rearranging Panes

You can customize the layout of your panes through simple drag-and-drop actions:

  • Drag a tab to change its position in the tab order
  • Drag a tab to the bottom, top, left or right edges to split the view
  • Resize panes by dragging the dividers between them

Managing Pane Content

Within each pane, you can:

  • Change the view type using the view selector
  • Apply filters specific to that pane
  • Adjust display settings without affecting other panes
  • Maximize a pane temporarily by clicking the expand icon

Saving Layouts

Think Crew remembers your pane configuration automatically, but you can also:

  • Save custom layouts by clicking “Save Layout” in the View menu
  • Name and recall your favorite arrangements
  • Share layouts with team members

The tab pane system is designed to enhance your productivity by allowing you to build a workspace that matches your workflow. Experiment with different arrangements to find what works best for your scheduling process.
