Offline Access and Synchronization

Think Crew 2 provides limited offline functionality, allowing you to continue working even when internet connectivity is inconsistent or unavailable. Understanding how offline mode works will help you stay productive regardless of your connection status.

How Offline Mode Works

When you lose internet connection while using Think Crew 2, the application automatically enters offline mode. During this time:

• You can view previously loaded projects, schedules, and breakdowns
• Edits to strips, breakdowns, and schedule elements are stored locally
• Changes are queued for synchronization when connectivity resumes
• A notification appears indicating you’re working offline

Preparing for Offline Work

To maximize your offline capabilities:

1. Before losing connection, ensure you’ve opened all projects you’ll need to access
2. Browse through key schedules and boards to cache their data locally
3. Consider which elements and breakdowns you’ll need to modify offline
4. If planning to work offline, use the desktop installation method for more reliable caching

Synchronization Process

When your internet connection is restored:

• Think Crew automatically begins synchronizing your changes with the server
• A synchronization progress indicator appears during this process
• Changes are uploaded in the order they were made
• You’ll receive notification when synchronization is complete

Handling Sync Conflicts

If other team members modified the same items while you were offline, conflict resolution may be necessary.

Limitations of Offline Mode

While offline mode is helpful, be aware of these limitations:

• You cannot create new projects or import new scripts offline
• Collaborative features like commenting are unavailable
• Complex operations such as scenario management require connectivity
