Deleting Schedules

2 min read

Managing your project workspace includes occasionally removing schedules that are no longer needed. Think Crew provides a simple process for deleting schedules while protecting against accidental deletions.

When to Delete a Schedule #

You might want to delete a schedule when:

  • The schedule was created for testing purposes only
  • A schedule has been replaced by an updated version
  • You’ve accumulated too many draft schedules that are no longer relevant
  • A production plan has been canceled or significantly restructured
  • You want to clean up your project workspace for better organization

How to Delete a Schedule #

To delete a schedule in Think Crew:

  1. Navigate to the Schedules page in your project
  2. Find the schedule you want to delete
  3. Click the “Select” button from the top right of the menu bar
  4. Click the checkboxes of any schedules you wish to delete
  5. Select “Delete” from the menu bar
  6. A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm the deletion
  7. Click “Delete” to permanently remove the schedule

Important Considerations #

Before deleting a schedule, keep these points in mind:

  • Permanent Action: Deleting a schedule cannot be undone
  • Permissions Required: You must have appropriate project permissions to delete schedules
  • Alternatives: Consider archiving or exporting the schedule before deletion if you might need it later
  • Team Impact: Ensure team members are aware before removing shared schedules
  • Project Timeline: Deleted schedules will no longer appear in project history or timelines

Safer Alternatives to Deletion #

If you’re uncertain about permanently deleting a schedule, consider these alternatives:

  • Export First: Create a backup export of the schedule before deleting
  • Rename: Add “[ARCHIVE]” or a similar prefix to clearly mark outdated schedules
  • Move: Transfer the schedule to an archive project designated for old materials
  • Duplicate: Create a merged version of multiple schedules before deleting the originals

Maintaining a clean project workspace by removing unnecessary schedules helps your team focus on current production needs while improving system performance and navigation efficiency.
