Who’s in This Schedule

When you’re working on a schedule as a team, it helps to know who else is in it. Think Crew shows the people who currently have a schedule open as a row of profile pictures in the schedule menu bar, so you can see at a glance who you’re working alongside.

Seeing Who’s in a Schedule

At the top of every schedule, the menu bar shows a profile picture for each person who has that schedule open right now, including you.

  • Hover over the pictures to spread them out, then hover over a picture to see that person’s name
  • Click a picture to go to that person’s user page and learn more about them, such as their position. See Your User Page.

The row updates automatically. As people open or close the schedule, their pictures appear and disappear, so it always shows who’s there now.

People who haven’t added a profile picture are shown with a default picture. To add your own, see Customizing Your User Profile.

Working Together

Everyone in a schedule works on the same live data. When someone moves a strip, edits a breakdown or changes a category, the change appears on everyone else’s screen automatically, with no need to refresh. The profile pictures let you know when this is happening, so you can coordinate with your teammates. For example, you might agree who will work on which board before you start rearranging.

Each person can still choose their own view of the schedule, such as their current scenario and pane group, without affecting anyone else. See Managing Schedule Scenarios and Pane Groups.

For more about working as a team, see Team Collaboration Overview.

Inviting Someone to the Schedule

Next to the profile pictures is an “Add users” button (a plus sign). Click it to open the project’s sharing settings, where you can invite people and choose what they’re allowed to do. See Adding Users to Projects and Setting User Permissions.

The Add users button is only shown if you have permission to edit the schedule.

When You’re Offline

Showing who’s in a schedule needs an internet connection. When you’re working offline, you won’t see other people’s pictures, and they won’t see yours until you’re back online. See Offline Access and Synchronization.

Knowing who’s in a schedule makes it easy to collaborate in real time, so your whole team can build the schedule together without getting in each other’s way.
