Working with the Projects, Scripts, Schedules and Templates Pages

Think Crew organizes your work into four kinds of documents: projects, scripts, schedules and templates. Each has its own page, which you can open from the sidebar. All four pages work the same way, so once you know one, you know them all. This article covers the features they share: card and table views, selecting, right-click menus, pinning, archiving and more.

The Four Pages

The Scripts, Schedules and Templates pages show the documents in your current project. To see another project’s documents, make it your current project on the Projects page (see below).

Card View and Table View

Use the view buttons at the right of the menu bar to switch between two views:

  • Card view: Each document is shown as a card
  • Table view: Each document is shown as a row in a table, so you can compare many documents at once. Click a column header to sort the table by that column. Click it again to reverse the order.

What’s on a Card

Each card shows:

  • The name at the top. Click it to open the document.
  • Details such as the season (projects), episode and revision (scripts) and description, when they’ve been filled in
  • When it was created and your permission level for it
  • Counts at the bottom:
    • Projects: scripts, schedules and users
    • Scripts: scenes, schedules and users
    • Schedules: scenarios, scripts and users
    • Templates: categories and elements
  • Icons at the top right, for managing the document, showing whether it’s part of a team project, and more. Hover over an icon to see what it does.

Cards that belong to a team project have a darker border. See Team Collaboration Overview.

Scripts and schedules also show whether they’re stored in the cloud or downloaded to your device, so you can work with them offline. Click the cloud icon to download one. See Offline Access and Synchronization.

Filtering

Type in the filter box at the top right of the page to show only the documents whose names match. Clear the box to see everything again.

Selecting Documents

Many actions in the menu bar, such as Duplicate, Move, Pin, Archive and Delete, work on selected documents. To select documents:

  1. Click the “Select” button in the menu bar to turn on select mode
  2. Click the documents you want. A check mark shows which ones are selected.
  3. Use “Select All” at the top right to select every document shown, or “Unselect All” to clear your selection

Click “Select” again to turn select mode off. While select mode is on, clicking a card selects it instead of opening it.

Right-Click Menus

Right-click any card to see the actions for that document, without having to select it first. The menu includes:

  • Every page: Manage, Upgrade to team, Pin or Unpin, Archive or Unarchive
  • Projects: Set as current project, Manage episodes
  • Scripts: Delete script
  • Schedules: Duplicate schedule, Revise script in schedule, Export schedule, Save as template, Delete schedule
  • Templates: Delete template

Actions you don’t have permission for are grayed out.

Managing a Document

Click the manage (gear) icon on a card, or choose “Manage” from its right-click menu, to edit the document’s name, description and other settings. See Managing Project Settings, Managing a Script and Templates.

Pinning

Pin the documents you use most so they’re always easy to find. Pinned documents appear in their own section at the top of the page, above a dividing line, with the rest of your documents below.

To pin a document, right-click its card and choose “Pin”, or select one or more documents and click “Pin” in the menu bar. To unpin it, do the same again and choose “Unpin”.

Pins are personal. Pinning a document only affects your own view, not anyone else’s on your team.

Archiving

Archive documents you’ve finished with but want to keep, such as an old draft schedule or a wrapped project. Archived documents are hidden from the page, so your active work stays uncluttered, but nothing is deleted.

To archive a document, right-click its card and choose “Archive”, or select one or more documents and click “Archive” in the menu bar.

Viewing and Restoring Archived Documents

Use the active/archived buttons at the right of the menu bar to switch to the archived view. The title changes to show you’re looking at archived documents, such as “Archived Schedules”.

Archived documents can’t be opened. To use one again, click the unarchive icon on its card, or right-click it and choose “Unarchive”. It moves back to the active view.

Note: Only a project’s creator can archive it, and you can’t archive your current project. Switch to a different current project first.

Your Current Project

On the Projects page, your current project is marked with a highlighted star. Click the star on another project’s card, or right-click it and choose “Set as current project”, to switch. The Scripts, Schedules and Templates pages then show that project’s documents.

Other Actions

Each page’s menu bar also includes actions for that kind of document:

The Schedules page also has Import, Export, Revise and Save as Template. See Import & Export Schedules and Revising Scripts.

Because all four pages work the same way, everything you learn here applies wherever you are in Think Crew, so you can spend less time looking for documents and more time working on them.
