Linking Breakdowns to Scenes

< 1 min read

Linking your breakdowns to script scenes in Think Crew creates a powerful connection that keeps your production planning synchronized with your script. This article explains how to establish and manage these links.

Why Link Breakdowns to Scenes? #

Linking breakdowns to script scenes offers several advantages. Linked scenes allow you see the script information when you have the breakdown selected. This ensures that you are always referencing the correct information when creating your breakdown.

Creating Links to Script Scenes #

To link a breakdown to a script scene:

  1. Select the breakdown in your schedule view
  2. In the breakdown panel, locate the “Script Scene” field
  3. Click the dropdown menu to see available script scenes
  4. Select the appropriate scene from the list
  5. The breakdown is now linked to that script scene

Managing Multiple Scene Links #

A single breakdown can be linked to multiple script scenes when needed:

  1. Select the breakdown in your schedule
  2. Open the Script Scene dropdown menu
  3. Select additional scenes while holding Ctrl/Cmd
  4. The breakdown will now show links to all selected scenes

Properly linking your breakdowns to script scenes creates a more integrated production workflow and helps your team maintain script-schedule synchronization throughout your project.
